Our Team

The Team at FLS Global, comprised of former New Scotland Yard Detectives,  have spent the majority of their service undertaking Family Liaison, either in a direct role or one of Coordinators.  Some examples of the family liaison abroad  they have undertaken include:

•    2013 - Coordinated the UKs response to the Algerian Pipeline & Kenyan Westgate shopping Mall attacks
•    2015 - Led the team in Sousse, Tunisia, immediately after the beach / hotel & Paris bomb attacks
•    2016 - Coordinated the Family Liaison teams in response to the Brussels attack & also attended the Euro Football Championships in France after mass disorder.

This team is probably the UKs most experienced family liaison coordinators for working abroad.

They have operated on several overseas deployments, sometimes in hostile environments.

Members of the team are qualified project managers and trainers. They have recently undertaken certified GDPR training ensuring all aspects of their work are data compliant.

Mike Hulme

Mike is a Former New Scotland Yard Detective, who in spent his last 23 years in specialist roles.  These included Family Liaison within Homicide Teams and working within the Kidnap & Specialist Investigations arena, often working abroad in hostile environments.  Latterly he worked within the Counter Terrorism Command.


Miles Manning

Miles, also a former new Scotland Yard Detective, who quickly became an expert in all matters concerning Family Liaison abroad and its coordination. Miles led many teams  after mass disasters and terrorist atrocities, including the Tsunami, Tunisia, Brussels and Paris.  Miles is world leader and subject matter expert in the field of Family Liaison abroad.
