Familiy Liaison

FLS Global, with extensive Police training and significant practitioner’s experience from foreign deployments, allows us to utilise those skills in country. We will liaise closely with Consulate staff, utilising their local knowledge to ensure that all the relevant authorities, from Hospital, Police, local government and Coroner services are all working together to reunite the victim with their family at the earliest opportunity. FLS Global will organise the repatriation of either the injured or the deceased in accordance with local and UK law.

FLS Global will meet the highest standards of Duty of Care, both legally and morally, to the victim and their family.

The workings of the Family Liaison Officer (FLO) within the Police are well known within legal circles and as experienced FLO’s and Crisis Managers, FLS Global transposes that positive reputation into the corporate arena. Our actions will stand the most rigorous of legal scrutiny and will have a positive impact on any proceedings.


Your Representive Abroad

Staff at FLS Global have an in depth understanding around those who are dealing with the loss or injury of a loved one. All our engagements with the family will be compassionate, with empathy at the centre, in keeping with the dozens of families we have already served. FLS Global does not provide counselling services, instead we concentrate on solving the practicalities of dealing with such an incident overseas. Our priority will always be to get those concerned back home and reduce the impact on the emotional suffering by keeping the relevant people regularly informed of everything that is going on in a sympathetic but open and transparent fashion.
We will handle any distressing situations, with kindness and sensitivity, always ensuring that the family have as much information as possible to help them come to terms with what has happened. Being evasive or not transparent, however well intentioned, is detrimental to the family recovery from tragedy and FLS Global staff will always work to ensure the needs of the family are paramount.

We also provide advice around Media Handling and funeral arrangements and will assist in these areas in any way the family wish. We will also facilitate communication between colleagues of the casualty and the family in an understanding way. FLS Global, if requested, will signpost the family to necessary mental health support available.
